Scripture:
"Be still, and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10

Reflection:
In a world filled with noise, we often forget how much strength lies in stillness. Out in nature, without the sounds of daily life, it’s easier to hear the quiet voice of God reminding us that He’s with us, always present and unchanging. Creation itself is a witness to His peace—the steady rhythm of the water, the rustling of leaves—all echo the peace that God offers us.

Sometimes, we think we need to always be on the move, doing more, achieving more. But God’s invitation to be still is an invitation to trust. He doesn’t ask us to be perfect or to have everything figured out; He simply asks us to be still and remember who He is. In those moments when life feels overwhelming, returning to nature can ground us, helping us remember the One who created it all.

When we allow ourselves to slow down, we’re better able to hear Him, to feel His presence, and to let go of the things that weigh us down. The same God who crafted each part of nature so carefully is crafting our lives, too. May we trust His gentle hands and let our hearts find rest in Him.

Takeaway:
Take a moment today to find stillness, whether it’s outside in the natural world or in the quietness of your heart. Let God’s peace settle over you, reminding you that He’s in control.
